Privacy Policy

 2Mevents Inc. and 2Mevents Ltd. (“2M”, “we”, “us” or “our”) respects your privacy in accordance with this Privacy Policy.  By accessing or using the 2M Website or any 2M Website Service, you acknowledge and represent that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy and the User Agreement and any updates thereto posted on the 2M Website, and you represent, warrant and agree that you are bound by all of the terms and conditions of this Privacy Policy and the User Agreement.  Your continued use of the 2M Website constitutes your binding acceptance of any update to this Privacy Policy or the User Agreement.  Some terms appearing in this Privacy Policy may be defined in the User Agreement. 

 

1.         Your privacy

 

a)         2M does not sell or rent your personal information to third parties for marketing purposes.

 

b)         2M does not knowingly permit spam to be disseminated by or through the 2M Website.

 

c)         2M does not knowingly collect information from anyone under the age of 13, and removes any posting 2M discovers was submitted by someone under 13.

 

d)         The 2M Website password protects your user account.  Keep your password safe.

 

2.         Personal Information collection and storage 

 

2M collects and stores information you provide to 2M for the purposes of regulatory and other compliance. 2M will share the information collected with the organizer, charity or other connected with the specifics of executing on the transaction entered into by you.  2M is not responsible for the organizer, charity or others use of that information and you should review their privacy policy.

When you create a user account you will be asked to create your profile to include at least your name and e-mail address.  You are under no obligation to do so, but may choose to provide further information in your profile such as text, videos, music or photos that may reveal personally identifiable or other sensitive information.  You may update or correct your profile or terminate your user account at any time.

 

2M does not store your credit card information.  Instead, 2M uses a secure connection to pass your credit card information to a third party payment processing service provider.

 

2M collects and stores communications made through the 2M Website, forum discussions and messages between users.  If you communicate with us or another user communicates with us about you, such communications will be collected in our files for access by authorized personnel.

 

The 2M Website may display trivia questions that you can answer and you may be invited to participate in a user survey.  You are under no obligation to answer any trivia question or to participate in any survey.  Information you provide when answering a trivia question or participating in a survey will be collected and accessible to 2M’s authorized personnel, and may be used for marketing the 2M Website Services.  2M may produce statistical data from trivia answers and survey results, and may disclose to third parties aggregate statistics that exclude personally identifiable information.

 

2M may send you a general user e-mail about 2M, the 2M Website or its Services, or to request your feedback.  You may opt out of receiving further general user e-mails at any time.

 

2M automatically collects telecommunications information such your Internet Protocol (IP) address when you visit the 2M Website.  2M may also log the 2M Website pages you access and your browser type.

 

2M stores collected information in servers located in North America.  2M will endeavor to securely store collected information, but cannot guarantee complete security.

 

3.         Uses of personal information

 

2M uses collected personal information to:

 

a)         provide and adapt the 2M Website Services;

 

b)         customize, improve or modify the 2M Website;

 

c)         statistically analyze site usage for marketing the 2M Website and its Services;

 

d)         solve technical problems;

 

e)         communicate with users;

 

f)          respond to complaints and resolve disputes;

 

g)         collect fees and prevent credit card misuse;

 

h)         enforce the User Agreement; and to

 

i)          comply with applicable law.

 

4.         Disclosure of personal information

 

2M may release collected personal information to third party contractors and service providers under agreements that limit their use of such personal information.  2M does not sell or rent your personal information to third parties for marketing purposes.  This includes passing on donor information (including address, donation amount, name and other relevant details) to charities, event organizers and applicable governing bodies to facilitate tax receipt generation and applying for applicable tax credits such as Gift Aid (UK taxpayers only).

 

5.         Cookies

 

2M creates cookies that are stored on the hard drives of computers you use to access the 2M Website.  Cookies created by 2M store information to maintain your session with the 2M Website, and may store information to customize the appearance of the 2M Website pages on your computer.  2M does not store personally identifiable information in cookies.  Your browser may permit you to decline cookies from 2M, although declining cookies from 2M may interfere with your use of the 2M Website.  You can delete cookies stored by 2M from your computer’s hard drive.

 

6.         Links to third party sites

 

The 2M Website may contain links to external sites that are not under 2M’s control or ownership.  Please familiarize yourself with the privacy policies of such external sites, as 2M does not accept any liability for your use of such external sites.
